Government (Japan)
Use e-Stat from your AI
Search and read Japanese government statistics via the official e-Stat API (Statistics Bureau of Japan). Find statistical tables by keyword, year, ministry or field, inspect a table's dimensions (measurement item, region, time, classifications), then fetch the actual numbers filtered by those codes. Codes are resolved to their Japanese labels. No setup needed - Arlet supplies the e-Stat application ID.
This server connects your AI client to the e-Stat API (Version 3.0), the official gateway to Japanese government statistics operated by the Statistics Bureau of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications. It covers population, households, labour, prices, industry, trade, education and every other survey published on e-Stat.
Key features:
- Find statistical tables by keyword (AND / OR / NOT supported), survey year, publication year, government statistics code, field code, or area granularity, and get each table's stats_data_id.
- Inspect a table's dimensions and codes: measurement item (tab), time axis (time), region (area) and up to 15 classification axes (cat01..cat15), together with the exact filter keys to use next.
- Fetch the actual figures for a table, narrowed by dimension codes. Values come back with codes replaced by their Japanese labels, plus units, annotations, footnotes, and a next_start_position for paging.
A single e-Stat table can hold millions of cells, so requests are capped and paged rather than dumped: filter with the codes from the metadata tool and follow next_start_position for more. Arlet obtains and manages the e-Stat application ID, so there is nothing for you to register or configure - just switch the server on. (Under the upstream terms of use, heavy bursts of requests on a single ID may be throttled.)
What you need
- An Arlet account
- No API key or account registration is needed. Just switch it on in Arlet.
