Connect EDINET to ChatGPT
Query EDINET directly from ChatGPT. Arlet links the two through one MCP connection and takes care of API keys.
This server connects your AI client to the EDINET API (Version 2) operated by Japan's Financial Services Agency. EDINET is the official electronic disclosure system where listed companies and funds file their securities reports.
Key features:
- List all documents filed on a given date, with each filer's name, securities code, corporate number, document type, and covered period.
- Narrow the list by filer-name keyword, document type code (e.g. 120 = annual securities report), or securities code.
- Use the returned docID to look the document up on the EDINET viewer (disclosure2.edinet-fsa.go.jp).
Annual securities reports (有価証券報告書) contain segment financials, risk factors, shareholder composition, and officer compensation - the raw material for competitor and business-partner analysis. Because filings include the corporate number, results join cleanly with gBizINFO and the Corporate Number System.
Using the API requires a free API key issued through the EDINET API registration. Set it as EDINET_API_KEY in your Arlet environment variables.
How to connect EDINET to ChatGPT

In the Arlet dashboard, open Data tools, find EDINET, set the API key issued by EDINET and switch it on.

In ChatGPT, open Settings → Plugins → Browse plugins and click + at the top right.

In the New Plugin form, enter "Arlet" as the Name, choose Server URL for Connection and enter https://mcp.arlet.dev/mcp/, pick OAuth for Authentication, check the risk acknowledgement and click Create.

Open the Arlet plugin you created, click Sign in with Arlet, sign in with Google and click Allow. The connection is complete.
If the Plugins screen is not shown, turn on Developer mode under Settings → Security and login.
