Connect Slack to Gemini Enterprise

Search, read and write Slack from Gemini Enterprise. Arlet links the two through one MCP connection and takes care of keys and authentication.

Arlet makes Slack available from the AI client you already use. Signing in with your Slack account completes the connection; there is no app to create on the Slack side.

The AI can search messages and files, read channels and threads, post and schedule messages as you, add reactions, and create or update canvases and lists. What it can read or write is exactly what your own Slack account can. If you belong to several workspaces, add each one as a separate connection.

How to connect Slack to Gemini Enterprise

    In the Arlet dashboard, open Integrations → Add an integration and choose Slack. Sign in with Link Slack, name the connection and click Create.

    Sign in to Gemini Enterprise with your organization Google account and open the gear icon at the bottom left → Connectors → Add MCP Server.

    In the MCP info tab, enter https://mcp.arlet.dev/mcp/ as the Server URL and "Arlet" as the Name. In the Auth tab, enter the OAuth settings from the Arlet docs (Authorization URL / Token URL / Client ID / Client Secret / Scopes) and click Add.

    In the connector list on the chat screen, click Connect on Arlet, sign in with Google and authorize. Arlet can then be enabled with the toggle.

Adding custom connectors (MCP) requires a Gemini Enterprise subscription and is not available in the consumer Gemini app. See the docs for the values to enter in the Auth tab.

Example uses

  • Catch up on what you missed

    Read the channels you could not follow while away and pull out only the decisions and the requests addressed to you.

  • Trace a past decision

    Answer "when, who and why did we decide this?" by searching across channels and DMs and reading the threads behind it.

  • Post a report

    Tidy up a status update or weekly report and post it to the usual channel as yourself, or schedule it for a fixed time.

  • Turn a discussion into a canvas

    Summarize a long thread into a canvas that the channel's members can read later.

Use Slack with other AI clients
