Connect Notion to ChatGPT

Search, read and write Notion from ChatGPT. Arlet links the two through one MCP connection and takes care of keys and authentication.

Arlet makes Notion's official MCP server available from the AI client you already use. There is no integration to create on the Notion side. Signing in completes the connection.

Beyond searching and reading pages, the AI can create pages, update databases and leave comments. The available tools are exactly those provided by Notion's official server.

How to connect Notion to ChatGPT

    In the Arlet dashboard, open Integrations → Add an integration and choose Notion. Sign in with Link Notion, name the connection and click Create.

    In ChatGPT, open Settings → Plugins → Browse plugins and click + at the top right.

    In the New Plugin form, enter "Arlet" as the Name, choose Server URL for Connection and enter https://mcp.arlet.dev/mcp/, pick OAuth for Authentication, check the risk acknowledgement and click Create.

    Open the Arlet plugin you created, click Sign in with Arlet, sign in with Google and click Allow. The connection is complete.

If the Plugins screen is not shown, turn on Developer mode under Settings → Security and login.

Example uses

  • Turn meeting notes into tasks

    Read a meeting-notes page, pull out decisions and action items, and register them in the task database with owners.

  • Ask questions about a spec

    Search and summarize long specs or knowledge pages, and answer questions like "what are the constraints of this feature?" while citing the relevant section.

  • Compile the weekly report

    Gather pages and tasks updated this week and create a new weekly-report page in your standard format.

  • Clean up a database

    Find inconsistent values and empty properties, fill them in, and add new properties when needed.

Prompts you can use as-is

  • Search Notion for "Product spec" and summarize the recent changes in five lines
  • From today's meeting-notes page, extract decisions and to-dos and register them in the task DB with owners
  • Collect the Notion pages updated this week and create a weekly report page in the usual format
  • In the customer database, find rows with an empty Industry and fill it in from the company name
