Connect Notion to Claude

Search, read and write Notion from Claude. Arlet links the two through one MCP connection and takes care of keys and authentication.

Arlet makes Notion's official MCP server available from the AI client you already use. There is no integration to create on the Notion side. Signing in completes the connection.

Beyond searching and reading pages, the AI can create pages, update databases and leave comments. The available tools are exactly those provided by Notion's official server.

How to connect Notion to Claude

    In the Arlet dashboard, open Integrations → Add an integration and choose Notion. Sign in with Link Notion, name the connection and click Create.

    In Claude, open Organization settings → Connectors from the account menu at the bottom left, then click + Add.

    Choose Custom → Web, enter "Arlet" as the Name and https://mcp.arlet.dev/mcp/ as the Remote MCP server URL, then click Add. Authentication settings are auto-detected, so keep the defaults.

    The first time you use it, sign in with Google. After that, every service you switched on in Arlet is available from Claude.

Adding a connector is done by an organization admin on Team / Enterprise plans. On Pro / Max you can add it for yourself from Settings → Connectors with the same steps.

    Search pages and databases across the workspace by keyword or natural language.

    Fetch the content of a page or database in a form the AI can read.

    Create new pages under a given parent page or database.

    Update a page's body or properties.

    Move pages to a different parent page or database.

    Duplicate a page. Handy for starting from a template.

  • notion-create-database

    Create a new database and define its properties.

  • notion-update-data-source

    Add or change a database's properties (schema).

  • notion-create-comment

    Add a comment to a page.

  • notion-get-comments

    Read the comments on a page.

  • notion-get-users

    List workspace members, for example to assign owners.

Example uses

  • Turn meeting notes into tasks

    Read a meeting-notes page, pull out decisions and action items, and register them in the task database with owners.

  • Ask questions about a spec

    Search and summarize long specs or knowledge pages, and answer questions like "what are the constraints of this feature?" while citing the relevant section.

  • Compile the weekly report

    Gather pages and tasks updated this week and create a new weekly-report page in your standard format.

  • Clean up a database

    Find inconsistent values and empty properties, fill them in, and add new properties when needed.

Prompts you can use as-is

  • Search Notion for "Product spec" and summarize the recent changes in five lines
  • From today's meeting-notes page, extract decisions and to-dos and register them in the task DB with owners
  • Collect the Notion pages updated this week and create a weekly report page in the usual format
  • In the customer database, find rows with an empty Industry and fill it in from the company name
