Deleting your account
Version 1 · Effective: 2026-10-13
You can delete (close) your account for Arlet, a service provided by NexaScience Inc. ("we"), at any time from the mobile app or the web. This page explains how to delete your account, what data is deleted, and how long data is retained.
1. How to delete your account
Mobile app (iOS / Android)
- Sign in to the app and open the Settings tab.
- Choose Delete account.
- Review what will be affected, such as workspaces that will be deleted with your account, then tap Delete account.
- Confirm by tapping Delete. You are signed out and the deletion process begins.
Web (https://app.arlet.dev)
- Sign in and open Settings at the bottom left of the screen.
- Open the Delete account section and review what will be affected.
- Type the confirmation phrase
delete my accountand run the deletion.
If you cannot sign in to the app or the web, or you want your account deleted without signing in, contact us using the details in section 4. We will verify your identity and process the request.
2. When deletion is not possible
While you are the owner of a workspace that still has other members, your account cannot be deleted. Transfer ownership to another member or delete that workspace first. This restriction prevents other members' work from being deleted together with your account, and prevents billing responsibility from being moved to someone else automatically.
3. What is deleted and how long data is kept
- As soon as you delete your account, your Arlet API keys and the access tokens issued by Arlet (used for API access and app sign-in) are revoked, and the account can no longer be used. Credentials stored for connected external services are deleted together with your account after the grace period.
- Your account information (name, email address and sign-in details), the workspaces that only you own and their contents (movies you created, uploaded documents, settings and so on) are permanently and irreversibly deleted after a 30-day grace period starting from the deletion request.
- If you sign in again during the grace period, you can restore your account (this exists to recover from accidental deletion). Membership in workspaces owned by other people is not restored; the owner has to invite you again.
- Records that we are legally required to keep, and information retained within the scope described in our Privacy Policy, are handled according to those rules. See the Privacy Policy for details.
